1 To remove a mirror from the car, take out the cap fixed on a door by means of three percussion caps. Further a krestovy screw-driver turn off three screws. Accurately get a mirror.
2 Further start sorting a mirror. To remove the mirror reflecting element, hook it on the one hand fingers and, having made some effort, take out. Consider that it is taken out hardly. If fingers didn't possible to pick up it, use for this purpose a screw-driver, but not to damage a surface, wind it with fabric.
3 Inspect the inside of the mirror, most often the cause of breakage - the bursting of a rope, by means of which there is a regulation. If you have at hand another broken mirror, from which you can take it off, or you bought the necessary detail in the auto parts store, try replacing the rope in the rearview mirror.
4 Unscrew the screws with which rotary platform is fixed, you can now see himself torn rope. Remove a casing from the base of the mirror, and unscrewing the screws. Do not forget to fold fasteners separately to avoid confusion in the future.
5 Remove a boot weather strip and the regulating lever, turn off two more screws. Now start directly replacement of a rope of a rear-view mirror. Among multi-colored (blue, red, yellow) ropes find torn off and take a similar detail of the same color from a donor mirror.
6 First insert the rope in the rotating platform, then the adjustment lever. If possible, replace immediately all cables because if they are already worn out in the near future may be cut short and the neighboring.
7 Collect a mirror in the return sequence and establish it on the car. Check its working capacity.
Helpful Tip
If it wasn't succeeded to repair a mirror at once, buy a volume sticker and paste on the reflecting surface. So you will be able to see even in not adjusted mirror a roadbed and participants of the movement.
